The history of Casa MosciaThe several buildings of Casa Moscia were property of Pasta fabric “Pancaldi and Pisani” until 1929. Then, the impoverished countess Antoinette de St-Léger, took over the place. Because of her exists the famous Botanic Garden on the Brissago-Islands. In 1946, the Swiss citizen Lisel Moser bought the property with financial help of some evang.-ref. comunitites and had the houses transformed into a place for the evangelical youth. She wrote her very interesting self-biography “Rufen, nicht fürchten” “only available in german language” which is available in our library or can be bought at the price of CHF 10.--. Since 1957, Casa Moscia is property of the christian movement “Vereinigte Bibelgruppen in Schule, Universität und Beruf (VBG).
